It is very high in vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin B’s, magnesium, and omega 3 and 6. Chlorella has been considered as a source of food and energy because its photosynthetic efficiency can reach 8%, which exceeds that of other highly efficient crops such as sugar cane. Research has found health benefits of the algae, such as helping in weight control, cancer prevention, and immune system support. It is also used to help depression, menstrual cramps, fibromyalgia, high cholesterol, and other conditions.
